Jacques Cartier Provincial Park

Situated along the shores of the sparkling Gulf of St. Lawrence. Named after Jacques Cartier, the first European visitor to Prince Edward Island who landed here in 1534 and described it as “the fairest land ’tis possible to see!” The park offers expansive vistas of the ocean and a slender sandy beach, perfect for relaxation and sunbathing.

Located 5 km east of Alberton. Park recreation programs with evening activities (Jun 23 to Sept 3). Playground equipment. Ocean beach with lifeguard services (Jun 30 to Aug 27), laundromat, kitchen shelter, dumping station and Wi-Fi. 5 km to campers’ store. Pets permitted on leash. Interac, MC, V accepted. Transaction fees + HST are applicable to all reservations.
