The Aviation Heritage Society of PEI is dedicated to preserving the former RAF Station and Canadian Forces Base (CFB), now the Summerside Slemon Park Aerospace Centre. They are restoring three historical aircraft on static display: CF-101B Voodoo 101037, CP-121 Tracker 131, and CP-107 Argus 10739. The aircraft will be restored in honor of those who have grown out of the history of the base and out of respect for the military and civilian personnel who served here. Memory where it has been—the site of memory, now restored and standing in the vicinity of the former base—is the Air Force Heritage Park near the entrance to the base. Carry visitors through the history of the human pivot base roles during the Cold War, the transition of the base into a Canadian Forces base, and ultimately closing following budget cuts in 1989.
