Apart from the wonderful coastal views they provide, lighthouses offer rich stories from these coastal beacons. From the first settlers to our strong fishing culture, lighthouses and Island history go hand in hand. Before the Confederation Bridge, they’ve also played a vital role in guiding our many visitors through our waters. Visit one of our 14 historic lighthouses. In addition to learning more about the Island way of life, you may even spot one of our fishing boats sailing in full of crab or lobsters!
