Weaving with Wood | Island Traditions
Immerse yourself in a unique Island experience that marries cultural discovery with hands-on creativity. At Island Traditions, we invite you to delve into the rich Acadian history by learning the craft of basket weaving, an enduring symbol of our heritage.
Through the ‘Weaving with Wood’ event, participants will have the chance to weave their very own baskets, following the age-old traditions passed down through generations. But the experience doesn’t end there! Participants will also have the opportunity to adorn their hand-woven baskets, making each one truly unique.
No previous experience? No problem! Our expert instructors will guide you through the process, ensuring a fun and enriching experience for all skill levels. This event is an excellent opportunity for families, friends, and solo travelers alike to gain a deeper appreciation of Acadian culture and take home a tangible memento of their Island visit.
